The Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Northern Thailand was a familiar place for the boys, known as their playground. They had ventured inside before monsoon season began, but the rains came early, trapping them and their coach. As days passed, the situation became increasingly dire, with Thai Navy SEALS not being adequately trained or equipped for cave diving.


Cave diving is a unique skill that not many elite emergency teams have mastered. The only experts were weekend hobbyists, which led to a group of middle-aged British men taking center stage in the rescue operation.
